    Amidst the hustle and bustle of Bengaluru city, there are a few nature escapes that offer relaxation and rejuvenation. Cubbon Park, Lalbagh Botanical Garden and Sankey Tank – these green spaces let you have a peaceful walk, a quiet reading session or just some plain simple me-time. 

     Cubbon Park 

    Cubbon Park is a paradise for nature lovers. With its green landscape, the park is thoroughly enjoyed by joggers who make use of the beautiful walking trails and bookworms who are looking for a quiet spot under the shade of the trees. During Spring, the beauty of this place multiplies with the trumpet trees in full bloom. Given its history, Cubbon park also constitutes a great heritage walk.  

    Lalbagh Botanical Garden

    Another refreshing escape from the bustling city life of Bengaluru is the Lalbagh Botanical Garden. Spanning across 240 acres of land, it houses the largest number of tropical and subtropical plants in all of India some of which are generations old, making it an interesting spot for the nature buffs. Within its premises are the exhibits like the Snow White and the seven dwarfs, a charming lake and the iconic glasshouse inspired by London’s Crystal Palace. The serene ambience of the garden gives a range of activities to do. Whether you want to enjoy a peaceful walk, meditate or even have a picnic, you can take your pick. For a quick recharge, visitors can grab light snacks from the refreshment stalls. Lalbagh is more than just a garden—it’s a sanctuary of peace and natural beauty, perfect for unwinding amidst nature.  

     Sankey Tank 

    Last on our list is the iconic Sankey Tank offering a peaceful retreat. Visitors can enjoy boating, walking or just sit by and take in the calm environment by the lake. In addition to boating, there are other options as well like a park and swimming pool on the southern side and a forest department nursery on the northern side. The area is vehicle-free and peaceful, making it ideal for jogging or photography. Small eateries nearby offer refreshing snacks, completing the perfect relaxation experience.
